As a counselling psychologist, and a mental health professional, I help women who are experiencing emotional and mental health issues by offering a personalised counselling service dedicated to women and their specific needs.
I work within a wide variety of techniques and therapeutic approaches and other supportive methods to assist women in making difficult decisions, when coping with life’s challenges. Such challenges include: the difficulties faced at different life stages, relationship difficulties, and grief and loss for example. Thus meeting specific needs and helping clients improve their personal and interpersonal functioning and achieve overall wellness.
I am different from a general psychologist in that I focus on the human aspects of psychology and less on scientific analysis.
The combination of a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in psychology and a graduate diploma in counselling provides the educational and practical foundation, advanced training, and professional qualifications necessary for a competent and ethical counselling psychologist. It ensures that I am well-prepared to meet the complex psychological and counselling needs of my clients.
I am a member of the Australian Psychological Society, the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors, and the Australian Counselling Association. As well as being an accredited Lifeline Counsellor.
